We participate in two vision plans.

Vision Service Plan (VSP)

VSP is one of the largest vision benefit programs in the country. Contact your human resources department at your company to find out the benefits specific to your plan, as there are hundreds of plans available. Or view your benefits here.


Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Tennessee (BCBST)

BCBST plans vary as well. Some have vision coverage; some do not. It is important if you are interested in using this benefit at our store that you become familiar with your benefits through your company prior to your visit. Learn about your BCBST benefits here.

Frequently Asked Insurance Questions:

  • Question:Why doesn't The Eclectic Eye participate in all vision plans?
    Answer:Our doctors do not participate in insurance plans that interfere with our ability to treat our patients with integrity and quality.
  • Question: If I have a medical condition, can I use my regular medical insurance card?
    Answer: Usually, but it depends. We encourage you to check with your insurance carrier by calling the number on the back of your card. Or we can help you look into your medical coverage, if necessary.
  • Question: I have vision coverage, but The Eclectic Eye is not a provider. Can you file my insurance claim for me?
    Answer:Your human resources department should be able to help you file this through your company. Unfortunately, we cannot file outside insurance for you.
  • Question: I have Medicare, can you all file that and accept assignment?
    Answer: Yes, we can. We can file Medicare and accept assignment on all services. However, we are unable to accept assignment for materials.
  • Question: I have a Medical Savings Plan or a Health Savings Plan; can I use that for eyewear?
    Answer: You may use your Medical or Health Savings Plan for any services at The Eclectic Eye and for any eyewear to which we are adding a prescription lens.
